welcome jonathan!

Oh, I have been getting my baby snuggles in lately and I’ve been loving every second :)  Meet little Jonathan who came into the world this January.  He is little brother to Katelyn and farmer in training for the Borne family.  And he was happy as a clam all morning as long as we kept him warm and toasty!  He was only  a few days old when I met him…there’s something special about walking into a home that is adjusting to new life.  It feels quiet, and calm…and I know that most of the time it is anything but.  There’s a hush that you can feel, like an exhale.  He’s here.  He’s safe.  He’s perfect.  And we’re all exhausted ;)  My job is to not only photograph their new little bodies but to tire the newborns out so much that mom and dad (and hopefully sis) can all catch a decent afternoon nap!  HA!

Loved his massive amounts of dark hair!  And mom, Amanda looked so beautiful…and happy :)

Such a beautiful family!  I’m sure miss Katelyn is being such a good helper!  She looks pretty proud to say the least!  Congratulations Bornes on your little man!

Doesn’t she just look like a little doll?!  It has been so fun to photograph Grace over the past year…she has already turned one and that post will follow but I had to catch you up on her earlier sessions first!   We’ve taken each of Grace’s sessions at her home which has the most beautiful light!  I always like to try and so some shots outside but the timing of Grace’s sessions made it a little more difficult to do so.  It was either too chilly or damp…and then when we got a day that we deemed tolerable we found that Grace HATED being outside!  We tried her everywhere and the unfamiliar yard was just too much for her then ;)

Grace’s mom always chooses the cutest outfits for Grace…very girly but not overwhelming.  And pink is most definitely Grace’s color!

Is there anything cuter on a little girl than ruffles on the tush ;)

At nine months, Grace had become more active  and was crawling everywhere!  I love noticing the changes in their actions each time I see them.  Grace was so much more outgoing and playful.   She was also donning more pink ruffles and this time added some girly pearls to complete her ensemble!

Can’t wait to share her one year session…….and it just so happens we got some of her outside!!!  Stay tuned :)

levi turns one!

Yes, I am still embarrassingly behind on the blog.  So much so that if I didn’t get this post up before leaving the house this morning I was going to punish myself with refinishing our hardwood floors…wait…I’ve been doing that for over a week already ;)  Sorry…back to the point.  LEVI!  Yes, this adorable little man turned one last summer and has already transformed into a blonde haired little man, walking and talking up a storm.  And just this past week he became a big brother!  So that’s where I’m headed this morning.  To visit Levi and family and photograph their newest addition!  But for now, Levi has the spotlight all to himself:

He was infatuated with his shadow :)  So cute!

Oh my goodness, he is so squishy :)  At church this past Sunday was when I first noticed his strawberry locks had turned into blonde curls and I kinda missed the baby  version of his hair;)

Yup, my favorite!  He was NOT  a fan of the grass….

What a sweet Birthday Boy!  I’ve heard he’s being a little “overly” helpful as he adjusts to life with his new brother and I’m looking forward to seeing this for myself…could be interesting!
